Crisis Response Makerspace
Keeping a finger on the pulse
Disaster, crisis and conflicts often come unexpected. Every situation is different. Working in the humanitarian field therefore means to react fast and flexible. We work under extreme conditions - with consequences for the team as well as for our equipment. In order to always offer optimum support we need to be creative and innovative.
Humanitarian aid next level!
This is where our Crisis Response Makerspace comes into play. In Europe's first-ever Makerspace for the humanitarian sector, practical experiences from our missions flow into the developement of new technical solutions and concepts. With the help of creative people from our extensive network and cooperations with universities we work on solutions to make our aid even more effective. Preferably low-cost, open source and diy. The first idea for a project, the first draft and the practical implementation are just a few metres away.
Each one teach one!
We want to improve things - and to have all partake! Products on the market are often expensive - and therefore unaffordable for smaller NGOs. That's why we want to make our developpments available to other organisations free of charge. Because we want the most people to benefit from humanitarian assistance!
