Destination country/region: Polish-Belarusian border, Poland
Period: December 2021
Short description: Between Christmas and New Year we supported the local initiative Grupa Granica with donations in kind and a small support team.
Project Progress:
Several weeks before the mission, CADUS was already in contact with Grupa Granica to determine the need for specific medical and communication equipment. During the Christmas holidays, the group needed not only material support but also medical professionals. A Medic and another CADUS staff member headed to the border to support the local initiative there.
Our Medic was mainly on site to be able to medically examine refugees hiding in the forest there trying to get across the border when alerted by the local network.

“The red thread must become the red line again!”
On 27.05.25, we and eight other humanitarian aid organizations working in Gaza drew a "red line" in front of the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin to demand compliance with international law. For us it is clear: the protection of civilians, medical personnel and humanitarian aid is non-negotiable! We document our translated speech at the rally here.
