About CADUS
CADUS is a non-profit, independent emergency aid organization based in Berlin. Our primary goal is to provide life-saving assistance to people in humanitarian crises. In addition to emergency medical deployments, another key focus of our work lies in the technical field. We are committed to both reconstruction efforts and the implementation of medical and technical training programs. In close collaboration with local partners, we develop sustainable projects tailored to specific (disaster) conditions, actively involving affected communities in their design and implementation.

Our interdisciplinary approach enables both organizations and individuals to actively engage in humanitarian aid and develop new solutions to current challenges.

Position Overview
You will join the Human Resources Department and work at the intersection of organizational structure, internal processes, and field operations. The role combines conceptual work on internal systems with hands-on crewing coordination for ongoing humanitarian missions — particularly the CADUS deployment in Sudan.

  • Within the HR Department, you will contribute to the development, alignment, and improvement of internal structures, tools, and processes.
  • Crewing Coordination – including candidate management, interviews, onboarding, briefings, and close coordination with field teams and relevant departments, particularly for the Sudan deployment
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, align, and improve internal structures, tools, and processes across departments with a focus on travel booking
  • Support CRM (CiviCRM) development for volunteer management
  • Streamline Crewing processes and project management workflows (Asana) for all deployments
  • Maintain and update pre-deployment checklists and paperwork
  • Conduct crewing and recruitment interviews for field projects
  • Lead and coordinate Sudan project crewing, including scheduling and administration
  • Support volunteer management and sustainable engagement processes
What You Should Bring
  • 5+ years’ experience in roles focused on structure, process, and coordination
  • Strong project management skills and process improvement experience
  • Proficiency in Slack, Asana, Excel, Word, Google Workspace; familiarity with Kanban and collaborative tools
  • Confident in recruitment/crewing interviews; independent and goal-oriented
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and learning in crisis contexts
  • Professional English; knowledge of German, Arabic, French, or Spanish is an advantage
  • Experience in humanitarian work or crewing is a plus
  • Motivation for long-term growth within CADUS
What We Offer
  • A progressive non-profit with a strong Code of Conduct and a vision to challenge post-colonial structures in humanitarian aid
  • A motivated, diverse, and skilled team
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid options
  • Meaningful work in humanitarian response
  • 30 days’ holiday, compensatory time off, company pension, and Urban Sports Club membership

We encourage applications from people affected by structural discrimination.
