CADUS e.V. is recognized by the German tax authorities as a nonprofit organization and is exempt from corporate income tax. Therefore, you can claim a tax deduction for donations made to us.

We will automatically issue you a consolidated donation receipt for all your donations made during the current year. This will be mailed in the first quarter of the following year.

For online donations, the donation receipt is sent to you via email as an encrypted PDF. If you make a direct transfer to our donation account and include your address in the payment description, we will send it to you by mail.

The German tax office generally accepts the bank transfer receipt as proof of donations up to €300.00. In addition, you can use our simplified donation receipt.

How else can I support CADUS?

Can I support CADUS with in-kind donations for Gaza?

Unfortunately, we generally cannot accept in-kind donations for our response activities. For our emergency medical aid, we need supplies that have been tested and meet our requirements. At the same time, receiving, inspecting, storing, and transporting in-kind donations involves a significant amount of effort that we, as a small organization, cannot manage.

In Gaza in particular, importing goods is even more complex and involves high logistical and financial costs. Furthermore, the types of goods that can be imported and the permits required for them are subject to change on short notice.

If you’d like to support our work, a monetary donation is therefore the most helpful way to do so. This allows us to procure necessary supplies in a targeted manner and respond flexibly to the current needs of our operations.
