Terms of Use for the CADUS Forum

These terms and conditions govern the use of CADUS discourse Forums. To use the forum, you must agree to these terms and conditions as set forth by CADUS e.V.

Your Permission to Use the Forum

Subject to these terms and conditions, we grant you permission to use the forum. Everyone must agree to these terms and conditions in order to use the forum.

Forum Terms of Use

Your permission to use the forum is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • You must be at least thirteen years old
  • You may no longer use the forum if CADUS e.V. contacts you directly to inform you that you are not permitted to do so
  • You must use the forum in accordance with the Permitted Uses and Content Standards (see below)

Permitted Use

  • You may not use the forum to commit criminal offenses
  • You may not impersonate others on the forum
  • You may not falsely imply that you are affiliated with CADUS e.V. or supported by CADUS e.V. unless such a relationship has already been defined in writing and signed by both parties.
  • You may not use or attempt to use another person’s account on the forum without that person’s express permission.
  • You may not buy, sell, or otherwise trade usernames or other unique identifiers on the forum
  • You may not post advertisements, chain letters, or other solicitations on the forum, nor may you use the forum to collect addresses or other personal information for commercial mailing lists or databases.
  • You may not automate access to the forum or monitor the forum, for example, using a web crawler, browser plug-in or add-on, or any other computer program that is not a web browser.
  • You may not remove any markings that indicate ownership of materials you download from the forum
  • You may not display any parts of the forum on other websites using an iframe from <>
  • You may not disable, circumvent, or bypass any security or access restrictions on the forum.
  • You may not overload the forum’s infrastructure with an unreasonable volume of requests or requests intended to place an unreasonable load on the information systems underlying the forum.
  • You may not encourage or assist anyone in violating these terms and conditions

Content Standards

  • You may not post content on the forum that is off-topic, unprofessional, or otherwise disrupts respectful discourse.
  • You may not post any content on the forum that is illegal, offensive, or otherwise harmful to others. This includes content that is harassing, inappropriate, or abusive.
  • You may not post any content to the forum that violates the law, infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, violates the privacy of others, or breaches any agreements you have with others.
  • You may not post any content to the forum that contains malicious computer code, such as computer viruses or spyware
  • You may not post content to the forum solely as a placeholder in order to reserve a specific address, username, or other unique identifier
  • You may not use the forum to disclose information that you are not authorized to disclose, such as confidential or personal information about others

Enforcement

In the event of violations of these terms, CADUS e.V. may remove users from the forum, modify or delete content, and, if necessary, initiate legal proceedings. Moderators appointed by CADUS e.V. may intervene in discussions and enforce compliance with the terms of use.

Account

To use the CADUS Forum, you must create an account with a valid email address and keep it up to date at all times.

You agree to be responsible for all actions taken through your account, whether authorized by you or not, until you either close your account or notify CADUS e.V. that your account has been compromised. You agree to notify CADUS e.V. immediately if you suspect that your account has been compromised. You agree to choose a secure password for your account and to keep it confidential.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to indemnify CADUS e.V. against any legal claims by third parties arising from your breach of these Terms or a breach of these Terms by others who use your account on the forum. Both you and CADUS e.V. agree to notify the other party as soon as possible of any legal claims for which you may be required to indemnify CADUS e.V. If CADUS e.V. fails to notify you of a legal claim in a timely manner, you are not required to indemnify CADUS e.V. for damages that you could have defended against or mitigated had you been notified in a timely manner.

You assume all risks associated with the use of the forum and the content on the forum. To the extent permitted by law, CADUS e.V. provides the forum “as is,” without any warranty.

The Forum may contain hyperlinks to and integrations with third-party services. The Company makes no warranties regarding third-party services or the content they may provide. Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and conditions between you and the provider of such services.
