Our teams provide support in three areas:
Period: 2014 – 2023
CADUS was active in various projects in Northeast-Syria for nine years. Our largest was the field hospital in Al Hol Camp, 2019-2023. Our local employees have founded their own NGO and are continuing the project.
Period: 2020
At the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, we converted our Crisis Response Makerspace into a logistics hub for self-produced masks and face shields.
Period: 2017 – 2023
During the liberation from the so-called Islamic State, we operated a Trauma Stabilization Point (TSP) in Mossule, among other places. In the following years, we supported several hospitals with training and equipment, and conducted first aid training for ambulance drivers in Duhok.
Period: November 2018 to March 2019
In Sarajevo, we provided care for refugees with our mobile clinic.
Period: October to December 2020
Following a request of the WHO EMT-structure, we provided medical care as an Emergency Medical Team in Camp Kara Tepe 2 on Lesbos.
Period: October 2020
Participation in the RKI-led expert mission for capacity building in dealing with the COVID19 pandemic.
Period: February 2022
Support for Kabul air bridge in the context of the COVID19 pandemic
Period: November – December 2021
Shadowing mission and capacity building in local hospitals in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic and on behalf of the WHO EMT-structure.
Period: December 2021
Covering a short gap, we provided medical care for people who were trapped in the border region between Belarus and Poland during the winter.
Period: 3th – 14th of May 2025
Together with other German organizations we supported the cholera response in Angola with a technical team.
Period: since Oktober 2025
We provide support in the form of WASH training and water treatment equipment. With a medical team, we are exploring ways to relieve the burden on local hospitals.
Period: 2016
In cooperation with lifeboat gGmbH, we operated the Minden lifeboat in the Mediterranean and provided a medical team for the sea rescue.
